Parents As Leaders is a free, innovative program
designed to partner with parents of pre-school aged children (birth to
eight years) to assist them in developing their knowledge in the areas
of early childhood development and school readiness, as well as help strengthen
their leadership and advocacy skills. Parents are provided with information
on support services and resources available to families and children in
Montgomery County.
Parents As Leaders is based on the belief that every family has strengths, and all
families need and deserve support. Parents As Leaders aims to develop and encourage
parental involvement while promoting lifelong learning, health and safety
of children. Family supports, such as childcare, transportation and
meals are provided for participants during the workshop.
